A berry name with more than one source story. Explore Blackberry Kush’s reported parentage, its sensory description and the distinction between similarly named varieties.
Behind the name
Theory Wellness lists Blackberry Kush with Afghani and Blackberry as parents. That is the parentage account used for the main profile on this page.
The source identifies the relationship without naming an original creator. We therefore attribute the description to Theory Wellness rather than assigning it an unsupported breeding credit. A producer’s record and an origin claim answer different questions.
Theory Wellness describes a sweet berry association alongside hash-like and fuel-like notes. The contrast gives more detail than the fruit word in the name alone.
These terms describe sensory impressions. Blackberry is also a named parent in this account, so the word plays two roles: one in the stated lineage and another in the aroma description. Neither role means the cannabis flower contains blackberry fruit.
Dutch Passion describes its Auto Blackberry Kush as a cross of its Blueberry and a dark hash plant. Those are different parent names from the Afghani and Blackberry account above.
That difference matters when comparing references. The additional Auto label should not be treated as the only distinction while the parentage is silently merged. Keep each description with its breeder or producer, even when most of the strain name is shared.
For its Auto Blackberry Kush, Dutch Passion describes purple flowers but also acknowledges green phenotypes. A phenotype is an observable expression of traits; the source is describing variation within its own variety.
Those observations belong to that named account. They should not become a universal colour rule for every Blackberry Kush reference. A photograph needs an exact caption and contributor, because colour alone cannot establish which version or specimen is pictured.
The parent written as Blackberry in the Theory Wellness record is not the parent written as Blueberry in Dutch Passion’s record. Preserving those words helps explain why the accounts stay separate here.
A useful comparison starts with the full variety name, the named parents and the source. That approach also helps when reading other Kush profiles: a shared word connects the vocabulary, but does not supply an entire pedigree.
Blackberry Kush FAQ
The main profile follows Theory Wellness, which lists Afghani and Blackberry as parents.
Not in the sources compared here. Dutch Passion names Blueberry and a dark hash plant for its Auto Blackberry Kush.
No. The source uses Blackberry as a parent name and berry language as a sensory association, not as an ingredient list.
Do not use colour as an identity requirement. Dutch Passion explicitly describes both purple and green expressions within its own Auto Blackberry Kush account.
