Understanding the collection
Seed descriptions often place several terms side by side. They are easier to understand when you separate the seed category from the strain name. Use this guide to read those descriptions with more confidence.
Feminized cannabis seeds are bred to favour female plants. Regular seeds can produce male or female plants. These terms describe sex characteristics; neither is a strain name or a complete description of the genetics.
Start with the label itself, then read the information attached to the named variety. A category heading should never be treated as a substitute for specific, documented details.
Autoflower describes flowering associated with plant age rather than a change in day length. It answers a different question from feminized, so both labels can apply to the same variety.
Our four navigation categories are entry points into the subject. They are not four mutually exclusive botanical groups. Keeping that distinction in mind makes comparisons much clearer.
CBD stands for cannabidiol. In a seed catalogue, the label refers to the cannabinoid profile associated with the resulting plant, rather than its sex or flowering trait.
A category label is not a laboratory result for a particular product. This index does not assign unverified cannabinoid percentages to its listings.
Names such as White Widow, Purple Haze and Afghan Kush help you navigate the index. A familiar name alone does not establish a consistent chemical profile across different sources.
Research from the University of Colorado Boulder also found that commercial indica, sativa and hybrid labels do not reliably represent chemical composition. Treat names and broad classifications as context, not proof of specific effects.
A useful entry makes its source clear, distinguishes a category from a named variety and identifies which details are documented. Where information is missing, that gap should stay visible. We have left out prices, availability claims and numerical specifications until the underlying product information is available.
